Have You Ever Watched The Television Program Deal Or No Deal?

Have you ever watched the television program called Deal or No Deal? I have been watching it, whenever I can, for the last few months now and I have to say, however sad it may sound, that it is probably my favourite program on the t.v at present. All there seems to be on mainstream television these days is repeats or poor quality new shows – this deal or no deal is probably the best of a bad bunch!

I am a person who works on my laptop quite a lot as I sell upvc windows and upvc doors and I have to send people the quotes online. I like to watch the t.v whilst doing this as it helps me to relax.

The British version of the program is on channel four at about half past four and is hosted by Noel Edmonds. Even though I do love the show there are a number of ways in which I think it could be improved:

1. The time that the show is on is not ideal, I am normally out at half past four in the afternoon on a weekday, as I am sure most people are due to work etc.

2. The program could probably be reduced by amount fifteen minutes with less adverts perhaps.

3. I think in this day and age, the prize money should be increased to a maximum payout of a million pounds from the current amount of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds.

On on a recent episode there was a guy who had the dilemma of whether to deal or no deal with just two boxes remaining – they were the £1000 box and the £100,000 box. This person did have a decent job working at a PGD clinic but what was to happen next was a complete shock to me. The banker then offered him £35000, if I remember rightly, to leave there and then. The contestant was unsure for a while but then stated to Noel that he was now ready to be asked the question, deal or no deal? Noel duly asked him, to which the contentest stuttered “no deal”. It was not that he had a stuttering problem it was merely the nerves coming out.

I have to say that I thought this man was rather courageous however I would have found it hard not to accept the 35k. Noel eventually opened up the contestants box to reveal that he had only won £1000. I could not believe it and felt quite sorry for the chap.
